Anxiously Awaiting

YAHOO!
We finally have internet at home. I am tired of reading everything off of my phone- another first world problem.

Isn't she cute? We are anxious to see what she looks like.

Lately, Daniel and I have been running errands, getting paperwork signed, setting up the TV, etc. Don't think this housewife just sits at home. I will say I wish we were back in Starkville so I didn't spend as much money. There are few no stores in Starkville to shop for baby essentials, so I never spent money. Now... I just drive 2 miles down the road and there are cute baby stores (and Target, Wal-Mart, everything). I am really testing my budgeting skills now that I have resources. To say all of that, I wouldn't trade where we're living. It's convenient and we actually feel like a family, not college roommates.

Tuesday was our first childbirth class (I know, we're behind). After walking St. Dominic's 1,000 times, we finally made our way to the basement. This certain class was on pain during labor. We watched a video about an epidural and a C-Section. Neither one of us do needles... at all. Needless to say, we both almost passed out. Daniel got up to "call his dad back" in the middle of the video... please! He knew he was about to faint. I, on the other hand, was about to vomit. With all of that to say, it was a bad experience for the both of us. I will have an epidural, but not thinking about the horrific video. We'll return back to the hospital next Tuesday for a newborn care class. That's the one I'm really interested about. Also, I will be delivering at RIVER OAKS HOSPITAL on River Oaks Drive (across from Jackson Prep). I looked at the hospital yesterday, and they just built new suites. I felt more comfortable being at River Oaks since it's a smaller/newer hospital for labor and delivery.

video we watched in our class - you'll enjoy it.

I'm going to give a big shout-out to my mom! She came up last weekend and helped us get organized, again. She brought pieces from home and kept Daniel and me company. We also went shopping for baby stuff. I think I can speak for the both of us when I say, it's hard to contain your excitement and not want to buy everything! Girls are so easy to buy for. I really need to stop buying 18 mo. smocked dresses offline. Who knows how big or small she's going to be. I might have to get a job if I can't control the outflow. I am so glad momma got to come up last weekend and help. The baby's room is so far from complete. I have a shower this weekend in Clinton, and hopefully we can start decorating on Sunday! Her bed will finally arrive on Tuesday - thank goodness. Betsy is actually here now. She drove up yesterday afternoon and we're going to run errands and shop today.  I'm glad she got to come up before all the baby chaos starts. Thanks for making the drive, Bets!

Evidently the hot and cold water pipes were mixed up and it was washing all of the baby's clothes on hot. Mom and Daniel realized it and quickly threw them all in the bathtub. Thankfully none of the clothes bled. It could've been a disaster.

We were getting organized for her big arrival.

Story- We went to church in momma's car. Neither Daniel nor I grabbed the keys to the house. After breakfast we realized we were locked out. The story ended with Daniel breaking the glass and getting in. Cheers to another unexpected expense :)

National Championship - .......yeah, not going to talk about it.
We went to Daniel's mom's to watch the game... on her 70". The game... well... wasn't a game. Congrats, SEC.

Update: I am now 37 weeks and 1 day, meaning I have 2 weeks and 6 days left. I. AM. SLIGHTLY. FREAKING. OUT. When I saw 2 weeks, I got hot. I feel so unprepared. That instinct better kick in... fast. Daniel and I are both really excited about meeting baby Harper. We have prayed for her and her salvation one day. Lord, please protect her.

Side note: I will post pictures of before and after of our house. I'm waiting for everything to get in place and on the walls. It's unbelievable how different it looks. I'll just say 2 words, white paint.

just a preview
